Behold the Lamb

Last night in our Bible Study time, we studied the concept of Jesus' Passion week. I found it interesting that as soon as I turned on my Computer Radio - set to JoyFM of course - they were talking about the same thing!

If looking at the Biblical story from today's dateline - today - Thursday - would be Passover ... the day that Jesus shared a last meal with his Apostles - washing their feet ... a task usually reserved for the lowliest of servants - even washing the feet and dining with the one who would betray Him and the one who would deny Him.

It was a time of prayer - intense prayer for Jesus in the Garden - praying so diligently that his sweat fell as drops of blood to the ground.

John the Baptist - 3 years earlier looked to Jesus and said of Him "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world." Now, during this Passover season, Jesus would demonstrate just what that meant. The Blood of The Lamb covers the doorposts of our sinful hearts, protecting us, keeping us, saving us.

He was wounded for our transgressions - wounded for our iniquities.

If you have time today - go to www.thejoyfm.com and download "The Easter Song" that they created. It is a powerful time of worship!
